The 9mm Avtomat model 1991 (9mm Automatic rifle, model 1991) is a carbine assault rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

Designed as one of several caliber variants in the A-91 family of compact assault rifles by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau, the 9A-91 was the only one that actually went on to production. Intended as a personal defense weapon for soldiers, it ended up being favored instead by police units as a cheaper alternative to the SR-3M Vikhr. It also served as the basis for the VSK-94 para-sniper rifle.

Overview

Available from the Fringe Settlers at the eighth rank, "Soothsayer", the 9A-91 is one of the higher-tier assault rifles. It features high damage and stopping power, average armor penetration, a good fire rate and is one of the lightest weapons in the assault rifle category. This light weight, combined with its high damage, makes it an ideal weapon for scouting-type survivors. Compared to the AS Val, it has a lower falloff range and rate of fire, meaning it has less raw damage per second, particularly at longer ranges.
