The Avtomat Kalashnikova model 1974 Modernizirovanniy (Kalashnikov Automatic rifle, model 1974, Modernized) is an assault rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

Developed in the 1970s by Mikhail Kalashnikov, the AK-74 was designed as an update for the aging AK-47 rifle to use the lighter and higher velocity 5.45x39mm round. It was introduced in 1974 and became the military service rifle of most former USSR countries. The "Modernized" version has several production improvements and features a synthetic handguard and folding stock.

Overview

In Survarium, it is one of the mid-tier Renaissance Army rifles, available at the seventh rank of "Captain". It features fairly average stats, with a good mix of accuracy, damage and armor penetration. It has no notable downsides, other than lacking an especially good base statistic. It can also use both the 7N10 and 7N22 ammo variants to slightly improve its armor-penetrating potential.
