The Avtomat Kalashnikova Modernizirovanniy (Kalashnikov automatic rifle, modernized) is an assault rifle in Survarium.

Background

Entering service with the Soviet Army in 1959, the AKM is an updated version of the ubiquitous AK-47, made to be lighter, more accurate and more reliable. By far the most common variant of the entire AK series of firearms, it continued to see usage in both Russia and their allied countries well after its replacement, the AK-74, was produced and entered service.

Overview

In Survarium, the AKM is one of the first assault rifles survivors can acquire. It is a low-tier Renaissance Army weapon, available after reaching the first rank of "Soldier". It has one of the lowest damages for any assault rifle, but has higher than average armor penetration and stopping power. Its major downsides are its rate of fire, which is one of the lowest for automatic weapons, and recoil.

AKM '65

The AKM '65 is a unique variant only available by purchasing it from the shop for 1,000. It features identical base stats but also possesses +10% silver received, +10% rate of fire and +25% reliability bonuses. It features a spot-style camouflage pattern where the stock and handguard use a tan-brown colour scheme and the metal work uses a grey scheme.
