The Avtomat Kalashnikova Skladnoy model 1974 Ukorochenniy (Kalashnikov Automatic rifle, Folding, model 1974, Shortened) is a carbine assault rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

The AKS-74U was developed as part of a competition for a fully-automatic carbine, following reports of the US's Vietnam experience with carbine versions of the CAR-15. Intended for use by special forces, paratroopers and vehicle crewmen, the basis for the weapon is largely a shortened version of the AK-74. After large-scale testing by airborne divisions, it entered full service in 1979.

Overview

Serving as one of the Scavengers' high-tier assault rifles, the AKS-74U is available after reaching their seventh rank of "Veteran". It features mostly average stats, though a lower than average damage. Its most notable feature is its weight, which is almost 25% lighter than average. However, it has a significantly shorter effective range both due to its general inaccuracy and short falloff distance.

AKS-74U "Corsair"

The AKS-74U "Corsair" is a unique variant only available by purchasing it from the shop for 700. It features identical base stats but also possesses +10% silver received, +10% rate of fire and +25% reliability bonuses. It features a spot-style camouflage pattern where the magazine and handguard use a woodland colour scheme and the metal work uses a grey-green, "mossy" scheme.
