The Black Market is a faction that appears in Survarium.

Overview[]

It is the hot spot for meeting single nomads, adventurers, marauders, bikers, and militants. It was founded by a group of traveling arms dealers at the site of a previous market discovered in a ruined city. Needing to protect themselves from constant raids by nomads and bandits, the traders of the black market hired one of the most powerful bands of marauders to provide security. The history of the growing market is rife with internal conflicts, assassinations, and abductions.

Background[]

Located on an a spacious ex biker lot, the market is a notorious place. It is where marauders, gangsters, various fighters and those of all sorts from all factions meet to trade weapons, drugs and sometimes even slaves. Force is the deciding factor for everything at the Black Market. Man is like a wolf to every other man and it is the right of the strong to take what they like from the weak.

The style of the Black Market resembles that of bikers. This includes leather jackets, spikes, heavy gloves and boots, and so on. They cherish their armour in a special way, as they believe that armour is not only functional body protection but also a certain indication of status. The particularly experienced members apply an image of a skull to their clothes, as a symbol of their fearlessness of death.

Equipment[]

A wide variety of biker goods can be found at the black market, including leather jackets, weapons for both close and medium range, traps, stimulants, and alcohol.

Their equipment mainly consists of plundered and modified biker goods. In relation to their outfit, the Black Market could be compared to the Mongol-Tatar Horde. That is, they could easily add armour elements that are of no functional value.

The Black Market residents believe that good equipment brings them luck, so it is not uncommon that after a legendary fighter's death his equipment is handed over to his friends who wear it with the same dignity or it is put on sale for those who have enough money to buy it.
