The M4A1 (Model 4, Advanced 1) is an assault rifle carbine that will appear in Survarium.

Background

Derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, the M4 began development in 1988 with the aim to combine the best aspects of the Colt Commando and M16A2 rifles. It entered service in 1994 and an improved A1 version was developed in 2010 that replaced the 3-round burst mode with full-auto. Since 2012 the M4A1 has seen heavy use with most front line US troops, as well as several other countries' military and law enforcement units.

Trivia

• Its existence was revealed by Fringe Settlers character renders during Developer Diary #6, almost 2 years before it was finally added to the game.
