The MP-27M (Mechanical Plant model 27, Modernized) is a break-action shotgun in Survarium.

Background

Originally produced in 1973 by Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, the MP-27 (known as the IZH-27 before 2008) was designed for both professional and amateur hunting and is an improvement of the earlier IZH-12. The "Modernized" variant has no shell ejector and possesses two triggers for both barrels. With more than 1.5 million units produced, it is one of the most common hunting shotguns in Russia.

Overview

In Survarium the MP-27M is a rare weapon, only found from random drops after battles or purchasing a premium version from the Shop. Its stats are very similar to those of the TOZ-34, although with greater damage and range but a slightly heavier weight. This means it shares similar strengths and weaknesses such as good damage and average accuracy but needing to frequent reloads.

MP-27M Lancaster

The MP-27M Lancaster is a special version available from the shop for 300. Its stats are almost identical with the sole exception of its rate of fire, which is marginally slower than the MP-27M. It also has +10% silver received, +5% damage and +25% reliability stat bonuses.

Trivia

• The "Lancaster" in the name refers to a specific type of oval-spiral rifling, designed by Charles William Lancaster.
  • As such, originally the MP-27M could only fire slug rounds. It was changed to accept both types in 0.25a.
