The NeoStead 2000 is a pump-action shotgun that appears in Survarium.

Background

In the early 1990s, South African designers Tony Neophytou and Wilmore Stead patented a pump-action shotgun with a forward-sliding pump and later modified the design to feed from dual tube magazines. Both aspects are rare and the Neostead is one of the only guns in the world to feature both. Production began in 2001 and the first models have been available since October of that year, with the majority of sales in Europe.

Overview

In Survarium the NeoStead is a rare weapon found only through random drops after battles or by purchasing a premium version from the Store. It features both high damage and the largest magazine size for any shotgun. Functionally, it acts as an almost straight upgrade to the Remington 870, with the same damage, triple the magazine size and better accuracy. Its major downsides are its weight and its rate of fire, which is the slowest of all shotguns.

The premium version available from the Store has +10% silver received, +10% rate of fire and +25% reliability stat bonuses. It costs 1,200.
