The Remington Arms model 700 is a bolt-action rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

Produced since 1962, the Remington 700 was primarily designed for ease of manufacture and became America's most popular bolt action rifle on the market. It saw further success as the basis for both the US Marine Corps' M40 and the US Army's M24, along with several other rifles in use with law enforcement and military agencies around the world.

Overview

In Survarium, the Remington 700 is a mid-tier sniper rifle available from the Scavengers at their highest rank, "Veteran". It is one of the first scoped weapons survivors will be likely to acquire, allowing them to line up shots more easily at long range than with previous rifles.

Compared to other sniper rifles, it has good damage and accuracy and above average armor penetration. Like most bolt-action rifles it has a low rate of fire and magazine size, meaning it's difficult to use in close combat, but otherwise it has few downsides when compared to other sniper rifles.
