The Remington Arms model 870 is a shotgun in Survarium.

Background

Introduced in 1950, it is the fourth major design in a series of pump-action shotguns by Remington Arms. It became one of the most popular all-purpose shotguns available, used by the public, law enforcement and military organisations worldwide. The version that appears in Survarium has had both its barrel and stock sawn off to make it more compact.

Overview

The Black Market's mid-tier shotgun, available at the fourth rank, "Centurion". Compared to the MP-153 Baikal (the Scavengers equivalent), the R870 possesses slightly higher damage but a much lower rate of fire and accuracy. This means that, save for few situations where 10 extra damage can guarantee an instant kill, the R870 is inferior in almost all aspects.

Trivia

• Despite being modeled as a sawn-off, maneuverable firearm, the R870 weighs about the same as most other shotguns. It is unknown whether this is an oversight or intentional.
  • In particular, it weighs exactly the same as the MP-153 Baikal, which has both a full barrel and stock and is known in real-life for its heavyweight construction.
