The SOCOM 16 (Special Operations Command, 16 inch) is a semi-automatic rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

Introduced to the market in 2004, the SOCOM 16 is a modernised version of the civilian M1A, built with lighter materials and using the shortest permissible barrel without taxing/registration (16 inches). Design features include a reworked gas system for use with the shortened barrel, a new compensator and a short scope base.

Overview

The SOCOM 16 is one of the few rare weapons that can only be found as a random drop after battles, it cannot currently be purchased from the Store for either silver or gold. In the assault rifles category, it has the highest damage and stopping power stats as well as great armor penetration and average accuracy. Like all battle rifles, it has a low damage per second potential due to its slow rate of fire and it is also one of the heavier weapons in the assault rifle category.
