The Winchester Model 1894 is a lever-action rifle that appears in Survarium.

Background

Designed by John Browning in the year of its name, 1894, the Winchester was one of the most popular and famous hunting rifles. It was the first rifle to chamber the smokeless powder round and was the first commercial rifle to sell over seven million units. It continued to be produced until 2006 but foreign replicas have been available since 2011.

Overview

The Winchester, along with the mosin carbine, TT-33 and the PPSH-41, is the starter weapon for the black market. While other factions' sniper rifles focus on damage, the Winchester focuses on rate of fire, being the fastest non-automatic rifle in Survarium. Consequently, its damage and armor penetration are only half of that of the starting Mosin carbine and is outclassed by higher-level rifles from the other factions.

The low damage of the Winchester means that one-hit-kills are unlikely, except against unarmored targets. Later snipers prove to be far more useful, having more damage, and most of them have optics of some kind, unlike this weapon. At best, this rifle excels at close range, where other rifles are having high difficulty keeping up with the movements of an other player.
